Teddy Grace has been with Better Life Academy/Better Life Behavioral Services since May of 2020 and has already made significant improvements in processes for all of our services, clients’ and students’ quality of programming. Teddy has been working on an intensive reading program for the Fall and plans to increase the physical activity and enhancing our students’ learning of the importance of physical activity and healthy living to include proper hygiene habits, learning different sports, and creating a healthy regimen of physical activity in their day to day activities.
Teddy is a retired Master Sergeant with the Army. During his time in the Army, he held various positions to include Drill Sergeant, the small group instructor at a leadership academy, First Sergeant, acting Command Sergeant Major, and Assistant Inspector General. He has worked directly under multiple 3 stars and 2-star commands and was responsible for budget, operations, and training. Teddy has been recognized for over 17 awards of excellence by multiple commands. His experience and expertise is a great asset to our program.
Teddy has been in the field of training and education for well over twenty years with a focus on physical education, leadership, health science, and training. Teddy was a JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) instructor at the former Marion Military Academy. While a JROTC instructor, he held many other organizational responsibilities and was instrumental in coaching and motivating the students/cadets at this school. He was insistent on facilitating the emotional and behavioral development of his students.
Teddy has completed a Master’s Degree at Western Kentucky University in 2016 and is currently pursuing his Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the same university. Mr. Grace is a registered member of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) and has over 20 years of experience in coaching sports. In addition, to increase his knowledge base, Mr. Grace is also currently pursuing a certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician from Florida Tech. Teddy is very knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about education. He brings a new perspective to our educational and behavioral programming and we are incredibly excited to have him as a part of our Better Life Team.
